Privacy policy

SBAdeals is a GoSBA Loans company. Buying or selling a business means trusting us with sensitive information, so this policy is written to be read — not skimmed past. Here's exactly what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
Account & contact details. Your name, email, phone, and (optionally) a LinkedIn URL when you register, sign in, request info on a listing, or submit a business.
Buyer financial profile. If you pre-qualify as a buyer, we collect the figures you provide — liquid assets, investor funds, monthly debt obligations — and any personal financial statement you choose to upload. We use these only to compute your pre-qualification and personalize deal math; we never publish them.
Seller business information. Financials, tax documents, and business details you submit when listing. Public listings are anonymized (no business name or exact address); sensitive documents sit behind a signed NDA.
Activity on the site. Saved listings, deal-tracking, and calculator scenarios are stored in your own browser (localStorage). Offers, info requests, and NDA signatures are stored on our servers so your advisor can act on them.
How we use it
To run the marketplace: matching listings to your buy-box, alerting you when a fitting deal goes live, computing DSCR and pre-qualification, and connecting you with a GoSBA advisor.
To arrange financing: if you ask to be pre-qualified or request info on a deal, we share your contact details and stated financial profile with GoSBA Loans (our parent company) so an advisor can start your free SBA pre-qualification.
To facilitate introductions: when you request info, make an offer, or sign an NDA on a listing, your name, contact details, and your message or offer are shared with the advisor representing that deal — that's how the introduction happens. Your full financial profile is not shared with sellers.
What we never do
We don't sell your personal information. We don't share buyer financials with sellers or other buyers. We don't publish anything that identifies a listed business publicly without the seller's go-ahead.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies, all functional: a session cookie that keeps you signed in (30 days), a cookie recording that you've signed the marketplace NDA, and — for our team only — an admin session cookie. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
Retention & security
Account passwords are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes — we cannot read them. Uploaded documents and deal data are retained while your account or listing is active and for as long as we need them to support a transaction or meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time — email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email with one click; transactional emails (like advisor introductions you requested) will still be sent.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and note the new effective date at the top. Questions? Email [email protected].
